I have been meaning to read this forever and wanted to read it before The Republic (and the rest of my christmas books) and I honestly loved it

Fascinating... especially Socrates' oration before he drinks the poison hemlock that ends his life in prison. Very good.

Towards the end, it gets long winded. I read The Trial and Death of Socrates before this, and I liked it better. It was more concise.
