This series started off really strong but there was something with this book that seemed very juvenile. I also just could not get behind the fact that the fmc, Tessa, could TALK to her unborn child. This unborn child had the mental capacity of a small boy, not a few week old fetus (and of course her pregnancy was like half the time of a normal human's pregnancy). Then at the end, Tessa and Loki "convinced" him to take a nap (again WHILE SHE'S STILL PREGNANT WITH HIM) so they could have sex. No, just no. I'm absolutely fine with women having sex while pregnant. But to include a fetus that has not only a consciousness but that of a small boy?! That was just gross. Like I said, I really enjoyed the first 3 books of this series so I really don't know where this one went wrong but I just did not enjoy it nearly as much.
