I knew NOTHING about this story. This was such a revelation--not only that there were sanitariums right in NYC, but that they had Black nurses, that Black nurses were treated so poorly, that it took so long after the introduction of antibiotics to really cure TB. I was just amazed at the story. Thanks so much for this ARC. This is a story that deserved to be told.
