First and foremost- this country will never deserve black women !!
This wasn’t *quite* as interesting as I expected but I learned a lot. I especially appreciated the Savannah setting in the beginning. We deliver meds to Georgia Infirmary at work but I’m embarrassed to say I had no idea the rich history behind that site.

This felt more like a generic history of tuberculosis than specifically about the nurses who helped cure it.

A must read for those of us interested in history of diseases, cure, prevention. We have never given credit to the black heroes in our history. This is a great insight into these women.
